Does the Weill Cornell Medicine Clinical and Translational Science Center sound funny to you? No? Well, me neither. That’s why we were so excited when they agreed to this delightfully quirky educational film that takes inspiration from shows like “Twin Peaks” and “Ugly Betty” to entertain while it spurs key discussions. Weill Cornell wanted a video about “informed consent” that would help train researchers how to ethically bring in research subjects to clinical trials. The piece’s title, “Ethics and Compliance Ethics and Compliance in Research: Is the Consenter Informed?” says it all, right? Fortunately for us, the film itself did not have to operate as a standalone educational tool. It would be part of a larger curriculum and include a workshop and discussion around the film. We’re delighted with how it turned out and happy that the client has a unique product for their training sessions.
