work

Below you will find descriptions of projects that I’ve worked on or am currently working on. Related videos, photos and links are also below.

  • Veteran Cabbie (5 minutes, experimental/fiction, in progress). Amid the hectic traffic and flickering lights of NYC., a documentary filmmaker coincidentally hops in cab of an Iraq war veteran. The cabbie, a former army patrolman, reluctantly shares a tragic story.
  • Finding Common Ground in New Orleans (7 and 24 minute versions, documentary, 2006) is a short documentary that addresses the social injustice that took place during and after the hurricane Katrina disaster through the lens of poet and activist Walidah Imarisha.
  • Danza Azteca en Filadelfia (Aztec Dance in Philadelphia Ollin) (14 minutes, documentary, 2005). From a performance at the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington D.C. to interviews with Ollin Yoliztli Calmecac’s group members, this short video provides viewers with a glimpse into the lives of four participants and into the tradition of Aztec dance.
