Fivel worked with South Asian Council for Social Services, based in Flushing, Queens, to create fundraising campaign with two marquee videos for the organization’s 20th anniversary. One short shares the group’s history and current programming. The second features local chef and restauranteur Surbhi Sahni as she creates a healthy vegetarian meal from item found at SACSS culturally conscious food pantry. South Asian Council for Social Services celebrated their 20th anniversary in October 2020. Their dedication, and grassroots efforts, shine through in this short video.

Chef Surbhi Sahni of Tagmo Restaurant shares her recipe for an easy chickpea salad, and shares what makes South Asian Council for Social Services (SACSS) a very special place for Queens residents who deserve access to wholesome food that speaks their language. SACSS runs the only food pantry in Queens to provide South Asian goods, including a variety of rice and spices!
